When you're talking "about" something...

which is better? not just grammatically, but stylistically?

"hablando acerca de algo" or "hablando sobre algo"?

Or "hablando de algo"?

All three can mean the same thing.

Yes, I'd forgotten about that. So then which is the best choice? Is one more natural or more widely used the others? Or are there certain situations where one might be more appropriate than another?

I would use 'de' or 'acerca de' before I would use 'sobre', but each is correct and may be used interchangeably.

I use "acerca de" or "sobre" due to stylistic reasons; although all of them may be used interchangeably.

A pleasure.
