To do well in
Is there any other way of saying
‘I want to do well in German’ apart from ‘Quiero llevar bien en alemán’. Thank you. |
The expression "to do well" needs another kind of construction.
Your sentence doesn't make much sense, because we don't use "llevar bien" like that. We can say "llevarse bien con alguien", which means that you get along with someone. - Mi amigo Roberto y yo nos llevamos muy bien. - Nunca me llevé bien con mi hermano y por eso ahora ya no nos vemos. Now, for the case of expecting a good result on an activity one is carrying out, we may say things like: - Quiero que me vaya bien en el alemán. - Quiero salir bien en Alemán. (Notice the capital letter, because I'm talking about a school subject, not the language.) - Quiero sacar/obtener buenos resultados en Alemán. ... I hope this helps. |
I agree.
