Welcome to the forums! This is a good place to both improve your Spanish and help English learners with English.

Welcome, Alan, and you're in good company - I'd venture to say that's why we're all here. Good Luck!

Just for precision: "Lada" in Mexico, is the acronym for "larga distancia", so Hanita is talking about Mexico's long distance code. ;)

I speak Uruguay's friend of mine and He didn's what is Lada, I was very surprised, I will try to remember how I say in English!

Mexico's long distance code!

Angelica so much thanks!

You're welcome. :)

Some suggestions to make your text a little better: ;)

Angelica so much (When you are talking about things that can become a plural, "many" is the right "mucho".) ;) thanks!

I spoke to a uruguayan friend yesterday and he didn't know what lada is/was (in English I can use is if this has happened in the past?????) surprised, I will try to remember how I say it in English!

Mexico's long distance code!

Does this better than the other post?

I spoke to a Uruguayan friend yesterday and he didn't know what LADA is/was (or means/meant or stands for/stood for).

Lol, "lada" is new for me, must confess I like it, "larga distancia" takes up too much energy to say :)
