I have a Spanish speaking friend and he has sent me a letter a signed off with

bueno mi querida Gemma espero que sepas que te extraño y que aqui estoy pava recibirte con brazos abiertos. te me cuidas mucho hasta pronto. con amor y carino sinceramente ya tu sabes

could someone translate for me please

Rusty April 26, 2014 12:40 PM

Ah, my dear Gemma, I hope you know I miss you and that I'm here to greet you with open arms. Take good care of yourself for me. See you later. With love and affection, sincerely, you know who. Marco.

If you don't know what TCCIC means, let me know.

It would have helped if the author learned to punctuate better.
You incorrectly transcribed a few of the words, especially the words with special characters. (There is an 'Accents' drop-down menu to help you insert these characters, right above where you type.)

TCCIC is a little thing we write at the end of each letter meaning, Take Care Cuz I Care

Thank you sooo much

Rusty April 26, 2014 12:51 PM

You're welcome.
Welcome to forums, by the way.

The special characters belong where marked. Missing punctuation and missing capital letters are a problem, too. Also, have a look at the one letter I marked in purple.

am I going mad, but I cant see anything in purple?

Rusty April 27, 2014 03:32 PM

pava (purple)
pava (red)

gsc984 April 27, 2014 04:49 PM

should there be a special character?

Rusty April 27, 2014 06:06 PM

No, the word 'pava' was simply a word that you didn't transcribe correctly from the handwritten note. ;)

should i ask him what he meant?

Rusty April 27, 2014 06:54 PM

The word in the note is correctly written. He wrote 'para' instead of what you put in your transcription of the note.

gsc984 April 27, 2014 07:55 PM

was it para not pava?

Rusty April 27, 2014 08:33 PM

Yes. It was 'para', not 'pava', in the handwritten note.

para = for (purpose)
pava = turkey hen
