HI
Hello everyone.
I'm going back to college (at 40 years old) and I'm taking a Spanish class. I'm very excited about it. This forum looks like a great place to learn - everyone seems so helpful. Hopefully, I'll spend lots of time here. I know bits and pieces of Spanish already but have trouble putting sentences together. That's what I hope to learn in class (and here). |
Welcome!! This is a good place!
Good luck in your studies. We're happy to help out with 'putting the pieces together.' |
Welcome to the forums. Hope to help you with your Spanish. :D
|
Congratulations on going back to school. Welcome and have fun here!

Hola Geeper!
Geepers, creepers, where'd you get those peepers? I love yur avatar! Welcome:thumbsup: |
¡Hola, geeper, y bienvenido! :)
I know what you mean, it's usually easier to read, or at least understand small parts of sentences, but it's much harder to write a sentence yourself. |

Geeper, I love your avatar, too. It's cute. A mí también me gusta tu avatar. Es una monada. Crotalito tiene razón cuando te dice que leas los mensajes en español, pero también trata de lanzarte aunque cometas errores o sólo escribas frases cortitas. Do read a lot as Crotalito told you, but start writing as soon as possible even if you think your sentences are too simple or full of mistakes. We learn by making mistakes.:) |
María José, thanks for your brace baby.
Regards. |

CrOtALiTo.........¿qué quieres decir con "thanks for your brace baby"? "gracias por tu ............... baby"? brace (brhttp://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/...hd/s/amacr.gifs)

Brace, refuerzo.
Why did you ask me it.? The word baby I used when I feel afecttion for someone. |
Oh I wasn't referring to the "baby" part, I was wondering about "brace". If what you meant was "refuerzo" then I would have used reinforcement or support. I don't think brace is appropriate in this context.

Am I right?:) |
Crotalito un brace es frenillo. Tambien significa apoyo, pero un apoyo fisical como en un puente o como los aparatos que ponen en las piernas
de gente que sufren de polio. En este caso (apoyo en la forma de ayudo) se puede usar support. |
