You shouldn't dry it or put mousse in it or anything. You just need to leave it to let the hair settle down. She told me not to wash it for 2 days."

I think estilista would be an alternative to peluquera.

I agree just for the sake of regional differences. :D
In Mexico "peluquero" is rarely used, and it usually means an old fashioned barber shop; therefore, "peluquera" is (almost) never used. But it seems "peluquero(a)" is still frequent in Spain, and it's used the way we say "estilista". :)
