Is there any difference in meaning between these two sentences?

Espero visitar la región en mis días libres.
Espero visitar la región cuando no esté trabajando.

1) Vacation, free time.
2) When I won't be working.

Yes, there is. And just as Julvenzor stressed it, it's the same in English;
if you aren't working, it doesn't necessarily mean you are on holidays. :)
