When a police officer is injured owing to his duties, he might have to switch to jobs in the same service that would require to do only paperwork, rather than running around etc as before; what is this called in English?:

a desk job

In some industries or professions this is also called "light duty". ("Light" as the opposity of "heavy"; in this case, the tasks do not require strength, stamina or a lot of physical activity.)
