Do you use definite articles with store names in spanish
For instance, would "I like Macy's" be "Me gusta Macy's" or "Me gusta la Macy's?"?
|
It depends on if the name has an article (Ej: El Corte Inglés) or if there is any regional reason. For example, in Spain, we use articles with football/soccer teams (El F.C Barcelona); but argentinian people don't.
On the other hand, remember "me gusta" always requires an article behind because "the liked one" is the subject of the sentence. A pleasure. |
