Deje me ver

Deje me ver

I don't understand how this means "let me see". I understand the meanings of the words, just not the word order.

Is "me" a direct object? If so, it should be before "deje", right?

'Déjeme ver' is the correct spelling.

'Deje' is the singular third-person imperative (command form) of 'dejar'. When using the imperative, object pronouns are suffixed to it. And, to retain the original stress of the verb, an accent mark is added.

The infinitive also has object pronouns suffixed to it.

In imperative tense (affirmative), direct object pronouns must go linked to the verb:

Déjeme ver. [Usted form]

Affirmative (linked):

Kill me = Mátame

Negative (non-linked, present subjunctive):

Don't kill me = No me mates

Plural form (present subjunctive):

Let's sing = Cantemos
Let's see = Veamos

Better now?
