Meterse el gusanillo
I think it means something that sparks that imagination and motivates
someone to create or to learn. Is that what it means? |
Perhaps to pique one's curiosity?
|
The expression doesn't always use the verb meterse. Think of el gusanillo as an itch, or a bug. It's the equivalent of saying you got 'a bug' for something.
Se me entró el gusanillo de la costura hace años. = I got the sewing bug years ago. |

Se me entró el gusanillo de la costura hace años???????????????????????????????????. = I got the sewing bug years ago. Rusty, I think that the better way to say this sentence is: Me entró el gusanillo en la costura hace años. |
Thanks, but I disagree that it is en la instead of de la.
The entire phrase is ... el gusanillo en el cuerpo/estómago de ... . There are many examples on the Internet. el gusanillo del golf el gusanillo del teatro el gusanillo de la fotografía el gusanillo de la lectura |
Rusty How commentary, not all you can to find from the internet is truth, you remember you must use the logic because the things that there are in the internet can't to be truth sometimes.
