Hi, I'm really glad I found this forum today. I was transferred to Bogota, Colombia a few weeks ago, with no spanish basics (can you believe?).

Welcome to you, Mike. At least the Colombians I know are very fond of saying chévere to describe anything we might call good, cool, trendy, fun etc. so you can try that out for starters. Good Luck & keep us posted on your progress!
