¿Cómo se dice..?

"Get to the point." "Ves al grano."

"I'll make a point of making times at the weekend for them to be able to play."
"Me preocuparé de hacer un hueco durante los fines de semana para que juegen."

To get the point entender lo que dice (entender los det)ailles de lo que dice.)

Yes, ir al grano is the correct expression. "Get" is a command in English. The Spanish expression should also contain a command. "Ves" is not a command form of 'ir'.
