¿Cómo se dice..?


"She might be a bit tired we got back home really late last night."

"Podría estar un poco cansada, llegamos a casa muy tarde anoche."

"Igual esta un poco cansada, llegamos a casa muy tarde anoche."

Lots of options.

(Quizás|Tal vez|A lo mejor|Puede que) esté (un poco|algo|un tanto) (cansada|soñolienta|desvelada), llegamos a la casa (muy tarde anoche|en la madrugada)

("en la madrugada" only if it was after midnight)

Also,
  • cansada (tired in general, could be sleepy tired or tired from too much work)
  • soñolienta (sleepy)
  • desvelada (specifically tired from not getting enough sleep)

Cansado in Spanishis a much more negative term than tired is in English at least among Latin Americans I know. The preferred term for to be tired
is tener sueño.

Your use of poco softens cansada a lot, but if you can find a way to substitute tener sueño for cansado in your sentences, you may sound more natural- at least to my ears.

I would be interested to read what others think about this.
