Hola y Dígame

What's the difference between Hola y Digame

Rusty December 05, 2014 03:17 PM

In some countries, "Dígame" is how you answer the phone. It would then, of course, be the same thing as saying "," "Hola," "Bueno," "Diga," "Oigo" or "Aló." (All used in different places.)

Other than a phone greeting, "hola" and "dígame" aren't synonymous. One means "Hello" and the other is "Tell me."

Thanks that makes more sense. some people would say hello on a phone or Hi in public. I guess this seems the same kind of thing.
