Hello,
I am wanting to learn Spanish so am very new at this. Wondered if anyone would have some easy solutions or quicker solutions to learning the Language Thanks in Advance |
¡Hola! Dazza9991
There is no easy way but there are ways to make it easier! Repetir!! Repeat everything over and over. And before you know it usted habla Español ! You have to use it or lose it. Listening to audio is a great way as it teaches you the correct pronunciation, speed and techniques. Watch, Listen, read and learn is my advice and practice every day, even with people who do not speak Español Hasta luego |
I have been using flashcards from Brainscape (a free app you can use on your Internet browser or smart phone) to learn vocabulary. I was lucky to get about 9,000 Spanish flashcards free when the app was a startup, but it looks like the Spanish package is now $19.99. :(
I still recommend it. As Señor Hombre pointed out, repetition is very important, and flashcards (purchased or homemade) are an easy way to practice every day. Of course you should take classes to understand grammar, if you have the time and money to do so. But if you don't, then try reading simple Spanish stories (like children's fables) and looking up anything you don't understand. There are numerous Internet resources to help in that quest. Google Translate is decent for looking up vocabulary. Spanish Dict is great for understanding verb conjugation (in my opinion, one of the most difficult parts about learning Spanish.) Also, check out podcasts to help with listening comprehension. Some move very slowly and are repetition based; they explain Spanish words and phrases in English. Others are recorded entirely in Spanish and expect the listener to "immerse." Please keep in mind that Spanish pronunciation can vary depending on the location--for example, pronunciation in Mexico is quite a bit different than in Spain. Good luck! |
