Word order with compound nouns

We can say:
un estadio de fútbol enorme / un enorme estadio de fútbol
unas tiendas de ropa excelentes / unas excelentes tiendas de ropa

But never:
un estadio enorme de fútbol.
Unas tiendas excelentes de ropa

Is this correct? Many thanks.

It's not like "never", but the adjective is interferring with the compound nouns.

"Estadio de futbol" is a noun by itself, if you insert an alien word, you break the idea, so the adjective must go outside.
