Ir de compras
Heading: 'Ir de compras' Vs 'Ir a la compra'
Are the following translations correct: • ir de compras to go shopping (clothes, presents, CDs, etc.) • hacer la compra to go shopping (food) • hacer las compras to go shopping (food) • ir a la compra to go shopping (everything – e.g. food and presents) |
I don't know "ir a la compra" or "hacer la compra"; these might be regional expressions.
"Ir de compras" and "hacer las compras" both mean what you understood for me. :) |
