Ng doubts preposition

Could you correct my English?

-Since the implementation of the Practical French courses at NYU, students have had doubts on the significance and necessity to learn them.

-I seek to assert that it is desirable to learn to read French as a matter of practicality. On study, it is unavoidable that students may come across theses written by French people.

-Yet, it is sufficient as long as we could understand French without learning to write with it. It ought to be up to fellow students to write in French or German, whichever they deem fit.

In each case, excepting 'seek to assert', the preposition is wrong, as I think you supposed.

... students have had doubts about ...
... practicality. Studies show (that) it is ...
... it is sufficient as long as we can understand ... learning to write it.

Thank you. For the second sentence, it was to mean

-On study(=in the process of studying), it is unavoidable that students may come across theses written by French people.

Is there any possibility that 'on study' makes sense?

No. "On initial/additional/further study" is okay, but "on study" is not. If you really want to use the structure "on + [the process of studying/investigating]" an acceptable alternative is "on investigation".

Thank you, but what do

-On initial/additional/further study
-on investigation

mean? Does on mean 'when ... is being carried out'?

In this context, yes.
