When I travel/travelled
p.334
-I mentioned then that I always carried a revolver with me when I travel. Why travel in particular in the simple present tense? |
'Traveled' (AmE spelling) certainly matches the tense being used in the rest of the sentence and seems appropriate enough, but not the way it is written.
What I would change to make everything sound right is the use of 'carried'. I'm pretty certain that what was mentioned/said was 'I always carry a revolver with me when I travel'. |
Thank you.
