Que no se lo salta un gitano

Que no se lo salta un gitano

When I use a translator on this
que no se lo => I would not

How does this work? there is no verb and nothing to suggest the first person.

Hi Stu,

It doesn't seem a complete sentence. I don't understand exactly how to a machine translator works.

It means, more or less: that it's not broken by a gypsy.

"Saltar" can be used for "break the law".

A pleasure.

Thank you, the passage was suggesting he would use some big lock that even a gypsy could not break - so I like your translation. Perhaps - that can not be broken by a gypsy.
Perhaps the verb saltar is enough but I would like something like no pueda saltar

It just means very high

It just means that something is very big, so it's very hard to jump over ( even if you are a gypsy which uses to be in good shape ). ( "¡ Le había pedido una mesa pequeña pero me trajo una que no se la salta un gitano !" )
