Could someone confirm for me/correct me that the below is correct for asking where you/he/she lives?

Donde vives? - Where do you live?

Donde vivo? - Where do I live?

Donde vive? Where does he/she live?

Donde vivimos? - Where do we live?

Donde vivir? - Where do you (all) live?

Donde viven? - Where do they live?

Apologies, for simple question I am just starting to learn Spanish. Is it just simply swapping out the correct use of the word 'live' to change the question?

They are alright, except for "where do you all live"; you used the infinitive, but you need the conjugated verb for "ustedes".

But please, this is important: all your questions need an opening question mark and all your "donde" need a written accent.

Regarding the use of 'Ustedes'. Where does it fit into the sentence? Is it:

Donde vivir ustedes?

Donde ustedes vivir?

Ustedes donde vivir?

I reckon the last one.

Also, I don't know how to do the opening question mark or the written accents on my keyboard :(

Using the same previous logic, are the following correct when asking about someones profession?

En que trabajo? - What is my job?

En que trabajas? - What is your job?

En que trabaje? - What is his/her job?

En que trabajamos? - What is our job?

En que trabajais ustedes? - What is (all) your job?

En que trabajan? - What is their job?

"Vivir" is an infinitive, not a conjugated verb. "¿Dónde vivir ustedes?" is like saying "where you to live?"

tú vives
usted vive -> This is formal you. It's used for every person you'd address with a title like Mr., Mrs., Miss, Professor, Doctor...
él/ella vive
nosotros vivimos
vosotros vivís -> You'll have to check with your course what conjugations you are learning. "Vosotros" is the non-formal you in plural, but it's only used in Spain. If you are learning Latin American Spanish, you won't be taught this.
ustedes viven -> This is formal plural you in Spain, but universal plural you in other regions.
ellos/ellas viven

I think you can now make the correct sentence. :)


As for the verb "trabajar":

¿En qué trabajo?
¿En qué trabajas?
¿En qué trabaje? This needs to be corrected
¿En qué trabajamos?
¿En qué trabajáis ustedes vosotros?
¿En qué trabajan ustedes?
¿En qué trabajan?

Thank you, is the below now correct? Or is ustedes not required in the sentence as the 'vivis' indicates that it is 'formal you'?

You're mixing "vosotros" and "ustedes". Please check my former post to see the difference. :)

Do you have to add 'vosotros' to the end? As I understood it, 'vosotros' is when addressing 'you all' as in addressing a group of people as 'you'.

Both are correct. When you include the pronoun you sound more emphatic.
You are right about "you all". The vosotros tense is informal and plural and used almost exclusively in Spain.
