I called by your house last night:
Must pasar be used reflexivley in this following context? • Pasé por tu casa anoche. • Me pasé por tu casa anoche. Would the following mean the same thing? • Te hice una visita sorpresa anoche. Many thanks in advance. |
Pasé anoche por tu casa, pero no había nadie.
Te caí de sorpresa anoche ¡Cómo nos divertimos! "Hacer una visita sorpresa" it's not wrong per se but sounds a bit weird. Visitar supposes you were indeed entertained. |
@fglorca: "Pasar por" doesn't have an idea of surprise; "te visité/te hice una visita anoche" are good enough as synonyms.

No, it's not incorrect; it depends on the region. It's more commonly heard in Spain and never heard in Mexico, for example.
