Are you coming to the cinema with us?

How can I explain that in this question the only possibility is the PContinuous and not the Present Simple Tense?

If you want to keep it in the present tense, you may by doing it this way:
Do you want to go to the movies with us?

The Spanish simple present means more than the English simple present does.
It includes the idea of the continuous form. But, the only way to express that in English is to use the continuous form.

As poli pointed out, you can rephrase the question and use the simple present tense.
