Espero que + subjunctive

Espero que + subjunctive

Espero que yo coma allí. (frase incorrecta)
Espero que yo como allí. (frase correcta)

Espero que tú comas allí. (frase correcta)

Espero comer allí. (frase correcta)

Espero que comamos allí. (frase incorrecta)
Espero que comemos allí. (frase correcta)
Esperamos comer allí. (frase correcta)

Would these be accurate?
Many thanks.

'Espero que' always triggers the subjunctive mood in the secondary clause.
Two clauses are used when the subjects of the two clauses differ.
If the subject doesn't change, two clauses are NOT used.

Espero comer allí. (The subject 'yo' doesn't change, so there is only a single clause.)
Esperamos comer allí. (The subject 'nosotros' doesn't change, so there is only a single clause.)

It is NOT correct to say 'Espero que como' or 'Esperamos que comemos'.

Espero que comas allí. (Main clause and secondary clause subjects are different)
Espero que comamos allí. (Main clause and secondary clause subjects are different)

Thanks so much for your superb explanation, Rusty.

You either esperas or comes. You can't do both things in the same phrase. It's the same as "I want you to go" and why "I want you go" is wrong.
