Nueva introducción
I haven't been using my Spanish very much, so I thought I would write a new introduction - in Spanish. I would like if you would correct my errors, and comment on my Spanish. :)
... It took me quite some time to write it, about twenty minutes, and some use of my dictionaries, but I believe it's a good practice anyway. I've marked parts of the text which I'm very unsure about with a blue color. |

For someone who is studying on their own, you have done well. If you get to Mexico City, be sure to visit to Museum of Anthropology. There you can compare the artifacts of the Meso-american empires. It's pretty interesting. Aztec sculptures can be terrifying. |
Coincido con Poli, you've done quite well!
In addition to the corrections made by Poli, here are a few more: Quote:
Hace dos meses que estudio español. = I've studied Spanish for two months. Or the present tense + desde hace + time length structure: Estudio español desde hace agosto. = I've studied Spanish since August. |
Felicidades! Lo has hecho muy bien. Claro había errores pero la idea era muy clara.

¡Muy bien hecho Danés! Tienes muy poco tiempo estudiando el español, y ya escribes muy bien. :)

¡Gracias, Tomísimo! :)
I had my first two lessons (2 x 45 minutes - the teacher was 15 minutes late though) of Spanish today. It was pretty simple though. They only taught us basic stuff like how to conjugate ser, hablar and visitar in present tense, and some few words like madre, padre, alemán, inglés, y, hermano, hermana, etc. I think it will continue on that stage for quite some time, as all the others had problems. But well, I've been studying it on my own for some while, so I just have to have a little patience. |
Be patient with your classmates. If you assist a friend in learning, it will reinforce what you have already learned and make you stronger and a better problem solver.

Oh, I did maybe express myself wrong. I didn't mean I was impatience with my classmates, I just think it would be better if one could get teaching at different levels (that's why I mentioned the self-studying). But the school isn't very big - and I can easily live with how it is.
And I did try to help the girl I was set together with. I added some few extra words to her vocabulary, like sólo, familia, etc. and helped her with pronunciation. I know it's not much, but I'm pretty new myself, and so is she, so I think it's fine. :) |
Yes, I agree with you all, you be patient, if you learn a new words each day, you write the word in your notebook for that you don't forget it, then if you need to practice more your Spanish then you can to found some friends to needs help with the Spanish, then here you can help him as well, mostly the way to learn faster is that you teach your knowledge to other persons, you are wonderful because you can to learn all you want if you are very intelligent, and I'm sure that you are as intelligent.

do you get the Telemundo channel?
|
I don't know about some TV show, but if you find people speaker Spanish, you can find people in the chat rooms, or maybe you can read a lot news papers from Spain or Mexico, but anyway if you can't find people in the chat rooms, well, then you need to practice here in the forums, such I have learnt English during this year.
|
Unfortunately not, bmarquis124. The only channels I have are the two national channels of Denmark, and a third channel, since we changed to digital-TV - so no Spanish channels. :(
And yeah, true what you say, CrOtALiTo. I have decided to start reading the various Spanish newspapers more intensively and more often. Hopefully, that will help me out. |
Newspapers are great for learning vocabulary and grammar, but not so helpful for pronunciation. :)
|
Yes, you keep it up with your learning.
You're welcome. |
