How can I say that in English? I think I heard Out of magic or something like that can anybody corroborate that?

I think you can use out of the blue, or as if by magic.

It was cloudy all day, but, as if by magic, the sun came out.

I was looking at the Monet painting, and then, out of the blue (or as if by magic), I saw the water lilies.

Robin, I heard "out of magic" in the sense of "running out of magic", (quedarse sin magia, agotar toda la magia que tenía).

You could also say,
Science arose out of magic, which it ultimately displaced.
La ciencia surgió a partir de la magia, que en última instancia reemplazó...

But, of course, that is a different meaning than "por arte de magia"...
