I need to translate that short thing

Hi guys, recently my friend put a pic on instagram with me, he's colombian and I have no idea what they have said there, can you guys help me?
X: jajajaja el encuentro de las discordia :D :D :D :*
Y: @X perdon
X: solo amor <3 :* @Y

thank you so much for your help

guys, is it untranslatable? please help me

Rusty October 21, 2016 10:55 PM

jajajaja = hahahaha
el encuentro de la discordia = the meeting/encounter of discord/division
el encuentro de las discordias = the meeting/encounter of discords/divisions
perdón = pardon?
solo amor = only love

I suppose the emoticons are universal.
:* = kiss
<3 = love

I agree with Rusty, but it's probably hard to provide a meaningful translation without context.
"El encuentro de la discordia" may mean that there was a gathering of people that brought up either a fight or a disagreement. :thinking:

thank you guys so much
well we used to be a couple so that solo amor probably tell that but I'm wondering about that previous part, I don't get it and I have no idea what he apologize for

Rusty October 23, 2016 08:58 AM

There was no apology. 'Pardon?' is a way to ask 'What did you say?'
The 'meeting of discord' is probably a reference to the past rivalry between you two, and that 'only love' could have brought you to the point of being in the same photo.

You could ask the writers what they meant, since they have the context that we're missing. ;)

AngelicaDeAlquezar October 23, 2016 03:22 PM

It could be that since "discordia" means there is something to disagree or to fight about, that is why someone is saying "perdón".
Without any context, there is no way to tell what any of the sentences mean.

The colombian guy is saying that the "fighters" (the two who were previously a couple) have met again now (run into eachother recently, talking, chatting again, encountered eachother again.) or simply that the photo depicts the "encountering of the fighters."
