Send my regards
It occurred to me today that I don't know a good way of saying this polite
conversational devise in Spanish. Do you say Das mis recuerdos a tu esposa? It doesn't sound right, but I think I heard something similar to it. Thanks. |
Da mis recuerdos a tu esposa is correct, but it's probably a bit more common to omit the determiner mis. You can also just say recuerdos a tu esposa.
If you want, you can substitute saludos for recuerdos, or you can say Saludo a tu esposa. |
I'd say:
Send my regards to your wife. Me salada a su esposa por favor. Mando saludos a su esposa. Salude a su esposa de mi parte. (Those are in Usted, it works just fine using TĂș as well) Me saladas a tu esposa por favor. Mando saludos a tu esposa. Saluda a tu esposa de mi parte. |
Thanks Rusty and David for your help. I missed the occasion to use it today, but will be able to the next time the situation arises.

Store away handy phrases to use when the situation arises. That's what I always did. :)

my 2 cents
"dale recuerdos de mi parte a tu mujer" "dale recuerdos de mi parte a tu esposa" Saludos :D |
