English Civil War Political Cartoon

In Social Studies class we have to create a rough draft for a political cartoon on a conflict during the English Civil War (not the American, the ENGLISH, in ENGLAND)

I need ideas. :worried::sad:

¿You're talking about the war of the roses?
It's the only one we call civil, concerning England (Britain).
You like clipart, if you play a bit with roses, you may come out with a good one!

:)

The webs below are simple descriptions on the war that may give you some ideas.

You can use the union Flag.
Make a cartoon with an english regiment, an irish regiment, and a scottish regiment, each with his own flag, all going to fight converging to one point.
They crash, and at the end cartoon you see the union flag and all the people looking at it surprised.
saludos :D

It's OK, might work, if I were the teacher I'd say Scotland and Ireland were not a concept of the time. I'd advice to use England's flag. The union jack was created quite a bit of time later.

Cheers :)

No not the war of the Roses. The Civil war - with the King....

Do you mean the Revolutionary War. Perhaps the British the American Revolution as a civil war at first.

Jessica November 13, 2008 06:16 AM

It's in England, not the USA. It's called the English Civil War

Oh, now I know what you're talking about (I was reminded after checking
Wikipedia)... the brief pause in British monarchy Oliver Cromwell, and the sordid details that lead to the Irish question:blackeye:..

Why do you speak about of the war in Mexico.?

Bony I mean, it above the Mexican Revolution, with the actors José María Morelos y Pavon, and Francisco Villa.

It's history is very complicated but anyhow is very interesting in itself history, if you need more information above it, please let me know I can to find something above the thread.

Yes we're watching the movie and still not done watching it.
The political cartoon's conflict can be about foriegn policy, money, or religion. Our teacher says that the money one is easiest.
