is it ok to say "realmente estuviste dulce" if you want to say you were really sweet

i am thinking no

i believe it should be "eras"

Yes, it's correct.

You were really sweet.

Estuviste realmente dulce.

Only you need modify the sentence in way inverse.

It isn't normal to call anyone dulce. There's another thread in the forums (entitled Sweet) that talks about the same thing. In that thread, I listed dulce as a possibility, among others, but it turns out that the folks in Spain offered another way to say it.

You should always use a form of ser to express such a sentiment. This is a personal characteristic or trait.

In spain we use 'ser dulce' for things, such as songs, movies....
