probably means Hello or welcome in some language :P I don't what language

It's Greek (romanized spelling, and there are variants) for Hello.

Ciao means both Hello and Goodbye
one of my favorite teachers is Greek and I think he will know what it means

I have only picked up a few Greek phrases and know the names of food served in Greek restaurants (in the U.S.). I haven't been to Greece, so I don't know if the food is the same. :sad:
