I can't get the meaning....:confused:
I think is "un expresion" that means smthing like get dressed in white... or not? :thinking::thinking:

I think it means "Come dressed in white tip"
vamos as in We go (-amos for nosotros, nosotras of ir)
blanco is white.
vestidos is dresses
punta is tip.

It means we're going dressed to kill or dressed up to the nines. De punta de blanco is an idiomatic expression.

In middle ages times, when a knight was completelly dressed, from head to toe (armour, sword, and so on) they sayed "va de punta en blanco" (he has the point in white).
When the elite sword or spear was uncovered it was "white" (it was shining, gleaming, with white at he top/point) when it was covered or a normal/training one it was "black" (usually they were rusty, or with a cover, and not so glamourous).

So this "knightly shining mode, full equipped"/"In shining full armor" was "ir de punta en blanco " (to go with white at the points) and now means "to be completely dressed" so --> dressed to kill or dressed up to the nines

Estar de punta en blanco is not an exaggerated statement at all. I would match it to the plain 'to be dressed up'. Spanish has a tendency to intensify meanings that may result out of context in English. Maybe you guys think I'm talking off my cuff, it's just a feeling. If you translate idioms without a bit of cultural contrast, you may overlook some shadows of meaning.
