Hello Karen and welcome, i hope you find the help you are looking for here. The people here are nice and knowledge-able.
Also for some practice, you may already know how to use iGoogle for translating tools. they are NOT perfect, but are some help.

Jessica November 20, 2008 01:11 PM

I don't think knowledgeable have a - between "knowledge" and "able". ;)
I have something similar to iGoogle. They aren't perfect, of course, I agree with you mexouriman08, but they do help me a bit sometimes

CrOtALiTo November 20, 2008 01:39 PM

Yes, the translate tools sometimes are not exact in the translate, but sometimes if you use the tool, you can to see the different between a teacher and a Google tool, last time I used that tools but the translate wasn't good and my homework or my document always was very bad, then I had to learn English even thought I'm not a expert in the language but I make my effort, well I hope Karen you be to able to understand the different between Google tools and people sign on in Tomisimo, because we will can to help you always that the you need.

Jessica November 20, 2008 01:48 PM

Karen I think it's best for you to use this website, not a Google tool or some other translation tool, because we're gonna help you as accurately as possible....>.< :)
;)

Hi Karen. Learning a new language is always hard work, but it's worth the trouble. Good luck.:):):)

tnx!;)
btw pple is wrong? Ι΄m asking u cause my teacher told me that is ok .... !!! :mad:

Jessica November 23, 2008 11:40 AM

I think he thought you spelled it wrong, so he corrected it. He didn't know that you were abbreviating it. I abbreviate it "ppl" but I don't do that at school because it's not right.
for "thanks" my abbreviation is "thnx"

Tomisimo November 23, 2008 12:33 PM

Things like writing ppl or thx instead of people and thanks are sometimes acceptable in internet chatrooms or cellphone text messages and the like, but almost nowhere else.

Jessica November 23, 2008 12:50 PM

I know that....it definitely isn't acceptable at school, when you're writing an essay or answering a question!

Rusty November 23, 2008 07:11 PM

Two other abbreviations were used, but not explained. Before anybody asks:
u = you
btw = by the way

Almost every time an abbreviation appears here in the forums, I've noted that we end up spelling it out for the hispanohablantes. So, as David suggested, it's best not to use abbreviations here in the forums.
