This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for December 1, 2008
dibujo - masculine noun (el) - drawing. Look up dibujo in the dictionary Su hija de tres años hace unos dibujos preciosísimos. Her three-year-old daughter makes some really beautiful drawings. |

I think you understand the concept, Jessica, but just to make sure:
The verb dibujar means to draw. ¿Quieres dibujar algo? = Do you want to draw something? If it's used as a noun, it is translated as drawing. Dibujar en la pared se prohibe. = Drawing on the wall isn't allowed. The noun dibujo means a drawing. Muéstrame tu dibujo. = Show me your drawing. If it's used as a verb, it is translated as I draw or I'm drawing. Dibujo un rascacielos. = I'm drawing a skyscraper. Dibujo bien. = I draw well. |
