Or happy birthday if you can't speak English

Or happy birthday if you can't speak English

I need the translation of that into spanish. For a girl. And it's supposed to be happy birthday, my bad.

Rusty December 02, 2008 11:35 AM

... o Feliz Cumpleaños si no puede hablar inglés.

Doesn't matter if it's a girl or a boy. The verb puede could change, however, depending on the audience. If it is a person that you know well, the verb is puedes. If it's a person you don't know as well, or would want to show respect, the verb stands as I wrote it. If more than one person is being addressed, the verb is pueden.

Thank you very much, Rusty.

Rusty December 02, 2008 11:46 AM

You're welcome.

You can also say ... si no habla inglés. (Now it just says if you don't speak English.) The verb habla can be changed to hablas or hablan, following the guidelines I stated earlier.

Any questions, just ask!
