¡Gracias! Hoy leí un oración "El puesto de trabajo está ahora libre'

Se traduce a: The job is now free.

Pienso que el oración: "The Job is now free" será "El trabajo está ahora libre'

¿Por qué se usa las palabras 'puesto de'?

This is just a way of saying that they are soliciting an employee or they have an open position (puesto abierto).
