I feel very stupid because of what I've told you about my ex-boyfriend. I always do a lot of things for my best (girl) friend even though I realize she doesn't do the same for me nor ever will. |
Thank you very much as always Rusty.

You're welcome.

Using Rusty's
I feel very stupid because of what I've told you about my ex-boyfriend. I also feel very stupid about my girlfriend, because I always do a lot of things for her and I have realized she does not do the same for me nor ever will. the meaning it's the same, only to make it more "near" to the sentence.Rusty, correct me :D |
grammar correct on that sentence?

Did you not understand my translation, or the Spanish sentence itself?
I translated loosely because the original Spanish wasn't clear. Without knowing the person's true intentions, I couldn't offer a better translation. The change sosia made kept the perfect tense intact (where I opted to omit it). Neither of us translated the sentence word-for-word. There is no proper punctuation. There are fragments. The last phrase ends in a conditional-mood verb. There are four misspelled words (including the words with missing diacritical marks). |

Just wanted to know if there were mistakes in the sentence. |
I've split the separate question to a new thread. :)

After por ella:
y = and pues como que = well me he dado cuenta = I've realized que ella = that she por mí = for me no las hace = doesn't do them (las cosas/things) ni las haría = nor would do them (ditto) Does this help any? |
yes
didn't know dar cuenta means to realize, I know pues, just never seen it followed by como que before.
Thank you! |
I've never seen pues followed by como que either :P
|
Y and pues are examples of a written pause, a lapse in fluent speech. At best, they shouldn't be written. Helpful punctuation to offset them from meaningful words would have been nice.
In my translation, I ignored y pues, and translated como que as since. Sosia translated y and ignored pues como que. When I spelled everything out, I grouped pues with como que because they could all be ignored. |
Pigeon spanish
As if deciphering proper spanish was not hard enough!
Thanks for all your help |
