Script

In Spanish class, tomorrow we will be performing a little script. My group of 4 - me (Sofía), Tito, Ana Carmen and Lila.

I am going to be the nurse.

Here is the script:

T: ¡Hola! Me duele la rodilla.
S: ¿Comó te duele la pierna?
T: La lucha.
S: Debes mirar la médica.

*****

S: ¿Qué tienes?
AC: Me duele la cabeza.
S: Vengan conmigo.

*****

L: Hola. ¿Comó les sientan?
T: Me duele la rodilla porque Ana Carmen es furiosa y un monstruo. Y le duele la cabeza porque le congeló su celebro.
AC: Yo bebí un Slurpee rapidamento.
L: ¡Ay! ¿Son alergicos a medicina?
AC: No somos alergicos a medicina.
L: Aquí está la aspirina. ¡Les sientan mejores!

Do not make any corrections. Sra. already made some corrections and this is the good copy.
All I want is advice. My lines are pretty easy, but I might get really nervous performing in front of the whole class.....I have no problem memorizing them, but I need some advice that will make me less nervous...Gracias.

There are several errors in the script. Are you sure you don't want help with them?

Jessica December 10, 2008 02:38 PM

oh really? well what are the errors? They are probably the errors in my partners' lines, not mine...are there any in my lines?

S: ¿Qué tienes?
AC: Me duele la cabeza.
S: Ven conmigo. (Subject is tú, hence the 2nd person imperative)

*****

L: Hola. ¿Cómo se siente? (sentirse, conjugated)
T: Me duele la rodilla porque Ana Carmen estaba furiosa y era un monstruo. (past tense needed) A ella le duele la cabeza porque se le congeló el cerebro.
AC: Yo bebí un Slurpee rápidamente.
L: ¡Ay! ¿Son alérgicos a las medicinas? (a la aspirina could have been used)
AC: No, no somos alérgicos a las medicinas.
L: Tomen aspirina. ¡Van a sentirse mejor! ('future' tense needed - mejor, in this case, is an adverb, so it doesn't have to agree in number)

Errors corrected. I know you don't use the past tenses very often, but your dialog has to include them the way it was written. You did have one verb conjugated in the past tense, by the way, so I didn't think you'd mind a few more. :)

wow my teacher missed many errors....! :P
unfortunately, we are presenting tomorrow, and we have already memorized (my group) our lines. If I tell them these errors, they will have to memorize different lines.
if I make mine different, I'm sure they wouldn't want that...

Have fun with your presentation. Don't be nervous. Everyone's in the same boat.

Jessica December 10, 2008 03:41 PM

ok :) my lines are not that bad...I should do okay...

okay, thank you guys, I will do my best....each individual in my group gets our own grade.....it's 20 points and I hope to get a 20.

Jessica December 11, 2008 01:31 PM

I got a 10/10 on the dialogues, and a 10/10 on the presentation (my own individual grade). I did OK, except I kinda messed up....the other groups did really good too...you should've seem the group with the 3 girls...they were FABULOUS ^_^ good at Spanish (speaking) and acting too! Some of them were funny too :)
