Caregiver
Caregiver
What would be the best way to say this in Spanish? Nowadays, when you go see your doctor, sometimes you are seen by a Nurse Practitioner or a Medical Assistant instead of your doctor and these people are called "caregivers". I don't see the word in Tomísimo's dictionary so I don't think I asked this before. But if I have, I apologize. Thanks! |
I think cuidador/a is the best fit.
|
Would you say........... cuidador de salud
just to be more specific that we are talking about healthcare? |
Sounds good.

Thanks Rusty!

Those sound good. A native speaker suggested personal de salud as another option.

I have always used asistente. I know it's a bit vague, but it gets the point across. For nurse practitioner I use una enfermera/o con una educación especial que le permite recetar medicamentos bajo la supervisión de un médico.
|
I usually say "practicante" or "asistente".
As poli says, it's a good form to speak to anybody without knowing his/her exact medical degree. I don't know really if they are asistants, skilled medical people or whaterver. greetings :D |
Muchas gracias a todos los caballeros......
Creo que en escrito sería asistente de salud.:kiss::kiss::kiss: |
