Direct, indirect object pronounce and reflexive
"Te ves muy bien"
How can I tell if sentence structure such as this is using direct or indirect object pronounce or it's reflexive? |
Both the verb ending and the object pronoun are second person singular in form. Therefore, you have a reflexive pronoun up front. (And you have a pronominal verb.)
The infinitive is verse. The English meaning is 'you look great'. Here you're dealing with an expression that happens to use a pronominal verb, with no other complements. Learn the expression as 'verse bien', which can then be conjugated as needed. Present Tense Preterit Tense etc. |
