amontonar - verb - to pile up, stack up, accumulate, collect, gather, heap up. Look up amontonar in the dictionary

Junta toda la leña y amontónala allí atrás de la casa.
Gather up all the firewood and pile it over there behind the house.

would this work for "collect" as in "I love to collect candy wrappers"? or is that a different word? I think it's a different word because this collect is different from the collect in here.

Me gusta coleccionar envolturas de dulces.
Me gusta juntar envoltorios de dulces.
