Reflexive

Reflexive

No te preocupes por mí.
Se quiere encontrar conmigo.
I think both of these sentences are reflexive but Spanish are grammar are still very confused to me so I want to ask the following:
Are those sentences reflexive and that they are literally translated as Don't worry (yourself) for me and He want(himself) to meet with me?

Both sentences make use of pronominal verbs.

In the second example, the verb querer is an auxiliary verb. The reflexive pronoun can precede the auxiliary verb, or it can remain suffixed to the verb.
quiere encontrarse = se quiere encontrar

In the first example, preocuparse means 'worry (get anxious about something)'. There's no need to force 'self' into the meaning, but 'worry yourself' can be used literally. Just remember that anxiousness on one's part is the reason for using the pronominal verb.

In the second example, encontrarse takes on the meaning of 'meet up with another'. There's no 'self' involved here, either.

These sentences are both examples of pronominal verbs. Reflexive verbs fit into this category, but not all pronominal verbs are reflexive.

Thank you

You're welcome.

There are many pronominal verbs. They all use the so-called reflexive pronouns, but not all pronominal verbs are reflexive.
