Slug Bug and other games

My cousin and I were sitting at a red light today when he noticed a yellow volkswagen beside us. I hadn't played the slug bug game since I was a kid so I didn't see this coming...but he punched me in the arm really hard and then he started laughing like crazy.

Just for fun...have you ever played slug bug? Do you know what a Chinese fire drill is? Sweet and Sour?

I remember playing slug bug as a kid. A Chinese fire drill is when you pull up to a red light, everyone in the car gets out, runs around the car and gets back in. I've never participated in one. What kind of game is Sweet and Sour?

Jessica January 03, 2009 05:53 PM

I don't understand the game. I've never played it before.

Sweet and Sour

You take turns waving at people in other cars. If they wave back or smile, they're sweet, and you get a point. If they don't wave back or ignore you, they're sour, and you lose a point. It sounds silly now lol. I had too much fun with it.

oh. I've never played that game. I don't even know if my mom would like it.

which was the biggest number so far? :owl:

sosia January 05, 2009 06:00 AM

In Spain the biggest numer is 99999, but it has also a letter, so it was not only the biggest number, but also the newest car (a 00003-AB is bigger than a 9999-AA)
saluods :D

bmarquis124 January 05, 2009 01:54 PM

sosia, do y'all ever play slug bug in Spain or is it just a U.S. thing?

sosia January 06, 2009 11:50 PM

First time I have heard the "slug bug"-game was your question. I have never played it.
I know the "Chinese fire drill" but we have never use that name o another name. It was something like "eh, if we all stood up, make a circle around the car and seat again?"
Sweet and Sour: I have never played it as a game.
saludos :D

Yes, I don't know why it's called that, but that's what we called it when I was young.
