Practice
Minnie was extremely skinny and full of/covered with ticks.
My husband picked her up and then we put her in our vehicle. While my husband drive, I picked off the ticks. Mientras mi esposo conducía, yo quitaba las garrapatas. When we got home, we gave her a bath and a good meal. After she ate, she took a long nap in one of our kennel crates. |

I know why you corrected drive to drove, but why change estuvo to estaba? Is it because repleta de garrapatas is a description, not an action? Wouldn't the same apply to cubierta de garrapatas? Does that need to be changed to estaba too?

You should use estaba in the sentence for the same reason you used era. They are both descriptions. It's OK, by the way, to not use estaba at all: ... delgada, cubierta de ... I prefer cubierta, but both can be used. |
Thanks again
