mecha - feminine noun (la) - wick, fuse. Look up mecha in the dictionary

A veces es difícil encender una vela porque la mecha no tiene cera.
Sometimes it's hard to light a candle because the wick doesn't have any wax on it.

in English, mecha is a huge robot.

A person with a mecha corta is someone with a shot temper or similarly a short fuse.
