Buenaaas...

Buenaaas...

I'm Antonio, and I'm from (and live) in Spain.

I've been using tomisimo.org for a while and just today I noticed the forums.

As I've received a ton of help with my English along the years, I'll be happy to give a hand to people interested in improving their Spanish. At least from a "Spain's Spanish" POV :)

I work with people from several american countries and it's been a real eye-opener the amount of little differences between their Spanish and mine.

Hello. Spaniards are <3. Except for the mullet thing. Why are they so popular?

Mullet? You mean the fish? Or maybe the bullfighting cape?

If it's the first, I don't like them ;D and if it's the second, bullfighting is not as popular as you might think ::)

As far as the mullet, shruti probably did mean the haircut :)

Sorry it's not in the dictionary, I'll have to fix that.

Indeed. The haircut was what I was going for. Sorry to have confused you.

No problem. I learnt a new word :)

Actually I don't know if there's a word in Spanish for that. And believe me, not even *remotely* popular!

Oh, but it is. Perhaps not as ridiculous-looking as that guy's mullet, but still. I was in Spain over spring break, and there had to be a million guys with mullets. 80's style in general seems to be quite popular over there.

Here's a couple more reasonable-looking mullets :)
