Paladinesque (and perhaps other spellings) would be the British English equivalent.
The adjective means something along the lines of 'with the flavour and some of the abilities of a paladin'. A paladin was a very brave knight, anciently.
Today, there are fantasy games that mention paladin and paladinesque.
