I’m not able to translate nor understand the meaning of one part of a song by Ramón Ayala that is entitled “Recuérdame y Ven.”

The words before and after the area I don’t understand and can’t seem to translate are:

Tu fuiste lo mas lindo de mi vida
Me hiciste sentir
Para que negarlo
Te quiero como a nadie querré
y tu recuerdo aqui en mi mente, llevaré

Mis amigos los que te conocieron
Me dijeron que dijiste que dijeran
que no sufra mas por ti
Que ya me olvide yo de ti
Que en paz te deje ya vivir
Que ya con otro eres feliz

How does the section in red translate?
I can’t seem to get a direct translation out of that section.

My friends who knew you
Told me you said to tell me
Not to suffer anymore for you

(In each place where 'mas' appears, it should be 'más'.)
