using ojala at the end of a sentence

hello

if a native speaker texts me "can you meet today?"
and I text back "no puedo, el domingo ojala"

what would he think I am saying?

after sending the text, I did some research and it seems that ojala is not used at the end of a sentence. I want to say "I can't, hopefully sunday"

would he understand that's what i am trying to say?

He will understand "I cannot meet today. I hope I can meet you on Sunday" :)
The place of "ojalá" doesn't change the meaning, but it certainly is more commonly used in the begining of the sentence. :)
